Client-based tracking is also known as cookie or pixel tracking. It utilizes cookies set on a visitor’s computer and stores information such as Affiliate ID, Transaction ID, Transaction Amount, date and time, and more.
Both cookie and pixel tracking involve placing an IFRAME / Javascript or Image Pixel on the confirmation page of an offer. It fires every time a successful transaction has happened. The tracking link redirects users to a specific offer URL, and if the user buys something and makes it to the confirmation page, the conversion is captured via IFRAME or Pixel. Once it fires, the user’s browser sends the cookie information to our tracking platform to record a conversion.
