What is a Deeplink?
Deeplink is a unique affiliate link designated specifically for each publisher. This allows any generated conversions to be tracked and attributed back to the publisher.
How does a Deeplink work?
When you start promoting advertisers’ products and services, you will be able to find your tracking link with an affiliate ID which typically looks like this:
http://invol.co/aff_m?offer_id=88&aff_id=XXXX&source=deeplink_generator
When your visitor clicks on this link, it redirects them to the advertiser’s website. The affiliate ID above is stored in browser cookies as a unique identifier and once they complete a purchase, the system is able to identify and pass that information back to our system for tracking.
A visitor is tracked across all pages on the advertiser’s site. Even if your visitor is redirected to a different product and they decide to buy another product offered by the advertiser, you will still earn a commission from the sale.
When you sell, all impressions and clicks are tracked in real-time. However, leads or sales may sometimes take up to 10-30 minutes before it appears on your statistics report in your dashboard.
To understand how an offer tracks conversions, it is important to observe the allowed track type.
How does Deeplink Track Conversions?
Basically, track type is very important when a publisher promotes an offer. Tracking types will provide awareness to the publisher on how conversion for an offer is being tracked. You will be able to see the "Tracking Type" for each offer on the offer description page as per the screenshot provided below.
